If the thought of tropical national parks and ridiculously scenic beaches gets you all giddy inside, this six-day tour of Costa Rica's Guanacaste province is definitely for you. Hike to a waterfall for an oh so refreshing swim in Diria National Park on your way to the laid-back beach town of Nosara and an idyllic pink-sand beach. Next, you'll visit some jaw-dropping viewpoints and secluded beaches en route to Tamarindo, where you'll wrap up your adventure by surfing waves and soaking up its incredible nightlife.

Costa Rica: Beaches, Wildlife & Wild Times

Day 1 - Liberia

Arrive at any time, and choose to kick back at the hostel, or head out to explore the city before meeting up with fellow Roamies in the evening. Later, head out on the town with your CEO and new mates to find some eats and to try some jugo de cana (sugar cane juice) and copos (shaved ice) from the street vendors if they are out.

Day 2 - Liberia/Nosara

Tick a national park off of your list and head for Parque Diria, where you'll hike through the coastal forest to a waterfall for a swim to cool off. Keep your eyes peeled for monkeys and birds along the way! Next, continue down the Nicoya Peninsula to the laid-back beach town of Nosara in time for lunch and to settle into the hostel. Take the rest of the afternoon to explore or to get your beach on if you're feeling it. Is it beer o'clock yet?

Day 3 - Nosara

We only have one thing actually planned today but it's a good one. Follow your fearless CEO on a walk to Playa Rosada, an elusive pink-sand beach that's only accessible at low tide. A secret paradise! Relax, swim and then enjoy the whole rest of the day back in Nosara at the beach or hanging out at the hostel with friends and a cold beverage.

Day 4 - Nosara/Tamarindo

Ok ok, we know the beach at Nosara is great but wait until you see the ones we're visiting today. We'll head north along the coast from Nosara, stopping first at a turtle nesting site and protected refuge to see where they lay their eggs on the beach (in season). Then continue to Playa San Juanillo where we will hike to a viewpoint of the coastal rock formations and gorgeous beaches with time to stretch out and swim. After lunch, carry on to our hostel in Tamarindo for more beach vibes and great nightlife.

Day 5 - Tamarindo

Surf's up! Take an included surf class in the morning and then the rest of the day is all yours. Feeling active? Try zip-lining, kayaking in the nearby national park or take a snorkelling trip. Can't get enough of the beach? Stay local and take to the sand and sea. Still want more? Chilling out at the hostel with friends is always a great option too.

Day 6 - Tamarindo

Depart at any time, or maybe decide to add on a few more nights at the beach.
