Vietnam's capital races to make up for time lost to the ravages of war and a government that as recently as the 1990s kept the outside world at bay. Its streets surge with scooters vying for right of way amid the din of constantly blaring horns, and all around layers of its rich history offer a glimpse into the resilience of ambitious, proud Hanoians. On your second day, you'll explore outside the confines of Hanoi on a motorbike. Then, the next morning, dive into the Old Quarter and discover its secrets.

Welcome to Hanoi! On arrival at the airport, you'll be met by your driver who will be holding a signboard with your name. Head out to your new home for a few nights: Nexy Hostel. Check-in and the rest of the day is at leisure so you can explore Vietnam's capital on your own.

Enjoy your morning and then head back to your hotel around noon and you'll be picked-up by your own motorcycle driver from your hotel. Hop on the back of a good old Minsk motorcycle and start exploring some of the hidden gems of Hanoi's Old Quarter. We will drive through a maze of zigz-agging alleyways, from the Black Market to the French Quarter to the famous train streets and more! Along the way, we will make a couple of stops to give you a taste of some of the preferred street food delicacies. A fantastic way to explore the buzzing Vietnamese capital while filling your stomach with delicious food, all in the good company of your driver and a knowledgeable English-speaking guide. Expect to be back at your hotel in the afternoon with your stomach full and your head loaded with unforgettable memories.

Meet your guide after your breakfast in front of an old coffee shop on the outskirts of the Old Quarter, right by the iconic Hoan Kiem Lake. The coffee shop gives a fine insight into traditional architecture and daily life. Flowing through the old quarter we will learn why the houses in this quarter are very narrow, hear stories about old Hanoi, and step by step understand both the Hanoi of yesterday and modern-day Hanoi. We finish today's excursion with a stop at To Tich Street to taste the local mixed fruit smoothies. We'll finish before lunch and the rest of the day is free at leisure.
