Begin your trek at Nayapul, reach Birethanti and after another short climb, you will reach Tikhedhunga. This trek offers a short & relatively easy introduction to your trekking adventure in the Nepalese mountains.
Nayapul to Tikhedhunga (1525m) approx. 3 Hours
We begin our trek at Nayapul and after a short 15-minute walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1065m) a large village that has many shops & teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village following the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola continued by a stead climb up the side of the valley to Hille at 1495m. After another short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga (1525m). This trek offers a short & relatively easy introduction to our trekking adventure in the Nepalese mountains.
Begin your journey with steep climb to Ulleri. The trail continues to ascend more gently towards Banthanti. Continue towards Nangethanti and reach Ghorepani after another hour of trekking
Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2775m) approx 6.5 Hours
Leaving Tikhedunga, we begin our journey with steep climb to Ulleri. Ulleri is a large Magar village at 2070m. Then the trail continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak & rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. We continue our trek towards Nangethanti at 2460m and reach Ghorepani after another hour of trekking.
Take an early morning trip to Poon Hill to enjoy the sunrise. After breakfast, begin your trek to Tadapani where you will stay overnight

Take an early morning trip to Poon Hill (3232m) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak (6920m), Nilgiri (6940m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna III (7855m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna II (7937m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and other numerous snowcapped mountain peaks. Return to Ghorepani for a rewarding breakfast (not included) and begin your trek to Tadapani (2650 m) through the deep forests of rhododendrons, bamboos and oaks. En route, you frequently see waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, local birds and green landscapes. Tadapani is a small village surrounded by beautiful forests which grant you a magnificent view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail, and Annapurna II and other snowy peaks. Stay overnight at a teahouse.

We descend steeply through forests and then the trail eases as we reach Ghandruk (1950m), which is the village of Gurung people, one of the largest ethnic groups of Nepal. This indigenous group has their own dialect, typical culture, clothing and lifestyle, which makes this village one of the most popular tourist destinations with beautiful mountain views.
Begin your journey from Ghandrung offering a 5-hour downhill walk to Nayapul where you will drive back to Pokhara
Ghandruk to Birethanti - Nayapul - Pokhara approx. 5 Hours
Today we begin our journey from Ghandrung offering an easy 5-hour downhill walk to Nayapul where we then drive back to Pokhara.
You must have a high level of fitness to take part in this trek. You will be walking at high altitudes every day and it will be physically demanding. In the months leading up to your trek, try walking with your daypack, climbing long staircases and add a couple of bricks to it for real training. Undertake regular aerobic exercise such as walking, jogging, swimming or cycling. The more preparation you have done in advance, the more you will enjoy it.
Backpack (10 - 15 liters), sleeping bag (if desired-- sheets & blankets are provided), hiking poles, rain pants, plastic rain poncho, trekking boots, sandals/flip flops, thermals (socks, t-shirts, sweater), windbreaker, hiking trousers, shorts, wool hat/beanie, gloves, sun hat, sun block, sunglasses, flashlight/torch, camera (with extra batteries & memory card), personal medications, reusable water bottle, water purification tablets, toiletries (toothpaste, soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toilet paper, towel)
Please expect to spend at least 20 USD per day on food and beverages. Please note that food costs will vary depending on the number of portions consumed, location and availability.
Tipping is by no means mandatory, but is customary. For a job well done, we recommend tipping10% to your guide, porter, and driver.
All guides for this tour have completed first aid training.
