This multi-sport tour package is a phenomenal launching to the wondrous part of Northern Montenegro, one of the most favorite destinations in Montenegro! In order to discover the scenery, character and cuisine of Durmitor mountain and Tara River Canyon, these five days will give you a beautiful, various and well-rounded experience in Durmitor's National Park.

What to Expect
Head to Durmitor National Park and get adventurous with a hike to Bobotov Kuk, one of the highest peaks of Montenegro and enjoy a panoramic view from the peak Bobotov Kuk (2523m) of the surrounding mountains.

Enjoy unforgettable whitewater rafting Šljivansko - Žugića Luka through the famous Canyon Tara River, which is Europe´s deepest canyon and the second deepest in the world, after Grand Canyon in the USA. Experience Extreme Zipline, a fly of 1050 m across the world’s second deepest canyon at speeds that range up to 120 km/h! This adrenaline-filled zipline is classed as one of the fastest in Europe. A real treat for the greatest lovers of extreme adventures and wild nature.

5 Day Mountain Xtreme Pack - Start Podgorica

Day 1: Arrival in Podgorica

Dobro došli! Welcome to Montenegro! You will be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation in Podgorica. The hostel is within walking distance from the city centre, transport terminals, restaurants, bars and shops. If you arrive early you can spend the day either on a tour through Podgorica city centre (optional extra) or simply relaxing on the lovely terraces by Morača River with picturesque views of Podgorica Valley and its surroundings. In the evening we will have a traditional Montenegrin meal (own expense), which will give you a chance to meet the other guests from around the world. After the good meal, you can roll down to the local bars and pubs where you can spend the rest of the night at your leisure.

Day 2: Podgorica - Kolašin - Tara River Rafting

Today, early in the morning at 06:25 you will catch a train from Podgorica to Kolašin. After a coffee and breakfast morning break, about half past nine, you will meet your tour guide at Kolašin’s train station for today’s rafting adventure on the Tara River. Tara River Canyon takes pride in being the deepest canyon in Europe and after the Grand Canyon in USA, the second deepest in the world. This gorgeous canyon is 80 km long and 1330 m deep, and under the protection of UNESCO. Moreover, you will enjoy the unique Tara River with its crystal clear water, wild rapids and waterfalls, famous for its outstanding beauty. About 10 km of rapids and real rafting adventure on this attractive part of the Tara Canyon from Šljivansko to Žugića Luka, the Tara provides a true experience in this beautiful green canyon with untouched wild nature. Also, the famous bridge Đurđevića Tara, an architectural masterpiece with five arches 172 meters above this incredible and unique river.

After this action - packed day's activities, you hop on a bus to Žabljak.

Day 3: Durmitor - Bobotov Kuk Trek

Be ready to meet your trekking guide at 08:00 in the morning at Žabljak’s downtown for a trek on Mount Durmitor. The Saddle Pass, the starting point for trekking is about 17 km from Žabljak so we'll be on the trails soon enough. The amazing views of the mountain and its surroundings are worthwhile the effort of the medium difficult trek to reach the peak of Bobotov Kuk (2523m). From the top of the mountain you can spot the canyons Tara and Piva in the distant horizon as well as the highest mountains of Albania, Serbia, and Bosnia (Prokletije, Kopaonik, and Zelengora). The track takes approximately 6 hours with 5 - 6 km of trekking in total. After some fantastic trekking, we take you back to your accommodation.

Day 4: Free Day in Žabljak

If there’s something you’d love to do in Žabljak, today is the day for it. Wander through the town, take a paraglider flight from Savin Kuk (2316m) or go on the daily Black Lake tour. Alternatively, take a leisurely stroll in the meadows of Žabljak, and as the night approaches, just sit down at one of the town's restaurants for a delicious dinner! (at own expense)

Day 5: Žabljak - Podgorica

Journey by local bus from Žabljak to Podgorica in the morning where this exciting tour ends, or simply continue your holiday on the stunning Montenegrin coast.
