To get to the Osorno Volcano we will travel for 50 minutes by van along the southern shore of Llanquihue Lake, enjoying lovely fields and lakeside scenery. Once we reach the base of the volcano we will see the village of Ensenada, where we will ascend by van to enter Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park. As we ascend we will have the chance to stop for photographs at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Petrohue River valley where we can see an extinct crater of the volcano. We will continue to another stopping point along the way to look out over the serene Llanquihue Lake.
Upon arrival to Osorno, you will be dropped off at the ski center and cafeteria. Here you have the option of relaxing at the ski center on your own to buy souvenirs and have a snack or head further up the mountain on the chair lift (at an additional cost) on your own for spectacular views of the surrounding landscape in a peaceful setting before returning to Puerto Varas for the night.
