One of the finest national parks in Asia, Chitwan National Park lies in the lowlands of south-central Nepal. It covers an area of 932 sq. km, listed as a World Heritage site since 1984 and renowned for its abundant wildlife. Take the opportunity to visit the Tharu people, a lowland indigenous group that live close to this heavily forested area. Enjoy their hospitality and experience the jungle, including the opportunity to encounter and observe endangered species such as the royal bangal tiger, the one horned rhinoceros, leopards, crocodiles, and more!

Reisroute

Meet at Go Beyond Nepal and then drive to Chitwan National Park, around a 5 hour drive. You'll be met upon arrival at the bus station and will head out to the a community home stay. After lunch, you'll take a walk around the village, participate in a local cooking class, and enjoy a local dinner accompanied by a traditional cultural dance.

Transportation: Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park by Bus

In the early morning, you'll take a canoe trip on the river to spot crocodiles on the surface of the water and along the riverbank. You'll take a nature walk and, after lunch, enjoy a jeep safari to see the wildlife or, at your discretion, take a bike trip through land inhabited by the Tharu people.
