Each pass is valid for 12 months from date of purchase, consecutive travel days starts from the first day of travel. The first day of travel is to commence within 12 months of purchase date. To give you an idea of route distance and travel time, here are a few examples:

SYDNEY TO BRISBANE:
1000kms or 15 hrs & 45 mins
CAIRNS TO MELBOURNE
3500kms or 3 days
CAIRNS TO SYDNEY
2600kms or 2 days
BRISBANE TO MELBOURNE
1800kms or 1 day & 17 hours

How is it managed?
- Once purchased, customers have access to book a seat on any of our coaches in real time via an agent or our website.
- To make an accommodation booking, either you or your Travel Advisor will need to contact Gilligan's directly. They'll need at least 7 days notice, but it is recommended to book as soon as travel plans are confirmed..

Is it consecutive days?
Yes, to make it super simple, the pass is consecutive travel days.

What determines a day?
A day is considered from midnight (00:00 hours) to 11:59pm (23:59 hours). Overnight services count as two days of travel.

What about overnight services, can an overnight service be travelled on the last day?
Travellers who start their trip on the very last day of their Whimit, will be able to complete their trip even if it ends on the day after the Whimit has expired

- Package components must be used in conjunction with each other and cannot be used separately
- Package is non-transferrable
- Whimit Pass is valid for consecutive days of travel from first travel date
- The first day of travel is to commence within 12 months of purchase date
- Hostel accommodation is provided by Gilligan’s Hotel & Resort in Cairns and is subject to availability
- During peak periods, beds do book out. Failure to make contact before arrival will result in no space available
