Start your trip with an early bus transfer from La Paz to Copacabana where you will hop on a boat to explore Isla del Sol. On Day 2 visit the Pilkokaina ruins before transferring to Puno and then in the evening hop on board your overnight bus transfer to Cuzco. You will have a whole day to explore the Cuzco on Day 3. Your trip ends after check-out on Day 4.
Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: La Paz - Copacabana - Isla del Sol (L)
Rise early for a 6:45 morning bus transfer from central La Paz accommodation to Copacabana. Upon arrival enjoy a traditional lunch around 12:30 and a short visit of the church and main plaza. Then take a boat to Isla del Sol (Sun Island) where you will hike the ‘’Escalinatas de Yumani’’ Inca Stairs followed by a visit to the fountain of eternal youth. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring the island and have dinner (not included) as you make your way to your accommodation. Overnight in the Island.
Day 2: Copacabana - Puno - Cuzco (B/L)
Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation before continuing your adventure with some early morning exploration of the Pilkokaina ruins around 7:30. Take the boat back to Copacabana where you will have lunch and then hop on board your transfer to Puno around 13:30. Upon arrival you will have free time to venture around the town on your own until your overnight bus transfer to Cuzco. Overnight on bus.
Day 3: Cuzco Free Day
You will spend the day exploring everything Cuzco has to offer. Walk around, take in the city's hidden gems and enjoy some traditional meals (not included). Overnight in Cuzco.
Day 4: Cuzco Accommodation Check-Out
Today your experience comes to an end after checking out from your Cuzco accommodation. We wish you safe travels for the rest of your journey.
LA PAZ ACCOMMODATION PICK-UP: Tour accommodation pick-ups are only from central La Paz hotels or hostels; this does not include Airbnb or private accommodation. All those who are not staying within the pick-up area will have to make their own way to the bus terminal at their own cost.
SUGGESTED PACKING LIST: Rain pants, rain poncho, trekking boots, sandals, warm socks, sweater, thermals, hat, gloves, sun hat, sun block, sun glasses, flashlight/torch, camera, extra batteries and memory card (there is limited to no electricity available during the trek), waterproof bags for your camera, hand sanitizer, personal first aid kit, water bottle.
