Visit the surroundings of El Calafate on two day-tours and be fascinated by the natural beauties of the area. Airport pick-up in El Calafate on Day 1. Travel to the Perito Moreno Glacier on Day 2 for breathtaking views of this massive sheet of ice and listen to cracking sounds as you watch huge chunks drop into the lake. On Day 3, visit the Torres del Paine National Park or go on the Cerro Frias 4x4 Adventure (depending on the season), and admire beautiful views. Stroll the streets of El Calafate’s historic town on your free day on Day 4. Airport drop-off on Day 5.
Day by day itinerary:
DAY 1: Airport Pickup in El Calafate
We will pick you up at the airport in El Calafate and drop you off at your hostel or hotel. Enjoy free time to rest.
DAY 2: Perito Moreno Glacier Full Day Tour (B)
Have breakfast and depart El Calafate around 8 or 9 am for your Perito Moreno Glacier Full Day Tour (tour departure time can change due to weather conditions or summer/winter timetable). People from all over the world come to this remote place in Southern Patagonia to be a witness of the Ice Age. This is one of the only moving glaciers in the planet which makes this visit not only worth it, but a MUST. Enjoy the landscape, the nature, the fauna and the wide variety of birds of the region throughout the day. We will visit the Perito Moreno Glacier from different viewpoints and from different altitudes. We return to El Calafate around 5:30 pm.
DAY 3: Torres del Paine Full Day Tour (only from September to March) OR Cerro Frias 4x4 Adventure (from April to August) (B)
- Torres del Paine Full Day Tour (only from September to March):
Have breakfast and depart El Calafate around 5:30 am for your Torres del Paine Full Day Tour. We arrive at the Chilean border around 10:00 am and make the customs procedures. Then we make a stop in "Cerro Castillo" town. At 11:00 am we continue on to the Lago Sarmiento, where we will stop for a little bit to take photographs and enjoy the amazing landscape. Later, we arrive at Laguna Amarga and pay the entrance to the Torres del Paine National Park. We go on to the Nordenskjol Lake, from where we can admire the imposing sight of Cuernos del Paine. Once we arrive at Pudeto we visit the Salto Grande waterfall and do a short trek. At 17:00 pm we leave the National Park and make stops at viewpoints from where we can admire the beautiful "Paine Range". We arrive at Castillo Hill around 18:00 pm and make the return trip to El Calafate, arriving there around 10:30 pm.
- Cerro Frias 4x4 Adventure (from April to August)
Breakfast. Today you will be picked up from your accommodation and transferred to Estancia Alice, the starting point of your Cerro Frias 4x4 adventure. The journey will begin by crossing a scenic meadow and climbing into the foothills of the mountain. Very quickly we will begin glimpsing stunning, panoramic views of the beautiful Centinela Valley and Torres del Paine. Upon reaching the top, you will find yourself among cows, guanacos, hares and wild horses. The scenery from this vantage point is pristine and breathtaking, with views of Lake Argentino and mountain landscapes. From here we will descend and journey back to El Calafate, beholding beech forests, a vibrant sunset, and amazing flora and fauna along the way.
Note: Wear comfortable shoes because we will be doing some walking.

DAY 4: Free Day in El Calafate (B)
Breakfast. Take advantage of a free day in El Calafate to stroll the streets of its historic town.
DAY 5: Airport drop off in El Calafate (B)
Breakfast. Check out. Airport drop off.
* Don’t forget to bring your own towel if you have chosen to stay in a Hostel Dorm Room.
* Check visa requirements for entry to Chile and Torres del Paine National Park.
* Remember to take care of visa arrangements before arriving into Argentina.

Please remember that the Argentine Immigration Office is charging ALL citizens from the United States and Australia a "Reciprocity Fee". You are responsible for paying for this fee online and printing your receipt, which you must present to the Customs Authority upon entering the country. There are no exemptions to this new fee and it must be paid regardless if you are staying for a few hours, making a flight connection or staying for a longer period of time. Please note that for some nationalities, the option to pay for multiple entrances does not exist. You are responsible for having these documents in order prior to arrival.
