Depart early this morning for the journey to Chitwan. Arrive at Barauli and get a warm welcome from the local Tharu Community Women's group. Get settled in and enjoy dinner with the new hosts. The accommodations on this trip will take place at the Barauli Community Homestay. Designed to help preserve the culture of the local Tharu people, this homestay is completely run by women, bringing diversified income and sustainable tourism to the region.
Day 2 - Royal Chitwan National Park
In the morning, go on a village walk and visit the local Tharu community surrounding the homestay. After Lunch embark on a jeep drive in Chitwan National Park and try to spot the elusive one-horned rhino. In the evening, enjoy a local Tharu Cultural Dance with the community followed by a local dinner.
Day 3 - Royal Chitwan National Park
Wake up early and go for another jeep drive through the Chitwan National Park. In the afternoon cook local Tharu dishes with local family at their home and enjoy a nice lunch. Later, embark on an evening cycle to Narayani River for sunset with tea, coffee and some snacks.
Day 4 - Royal Chitwan National Park/Kathmandu
After breakfast, head back to Kathmandu. Tour ends on arrival.
