As you get ever closer to the East Coast of Canada, you'll start to leave the wild lands behind and have yourself some city adventures. Toronto is up first. The native Hurons called this spot 'Toronto' or 'meeting place' and it still is today, with over 70 nationalities making this a vibrant and multicultural city. Take some time to explore Kensington Market, a huge area where you can find some interesting souvenirs for the folks back home or simply pick up some tasty treats for the road. For a different perspective zip up to the top of the 457 metre high CN Tower for some great (if a little dizzying) views. Rent a bike to explore the city, or catch a ferry to the car-free Toronto Islands and soak up the tranquillity. At night, head to the Distillery District, a huge area devoted to Toronto's finest eateries and drinking establishments, or grab your fellow trekkers and catch a baseball game.
