Today, visit another National park of Croatia, Kornati. In order to reach the hundreds of tiny islands in this park, you will need a boat to visit. Your trip will start early in the morning with numerous stops during the day, from sightseeing to swimming spots that you will visit. Enjoy a full day of sailing and swimming in the Adriatic before returning to Zadar.

Catch a public bus and head out to the “capital” of the Croatian coast, Split. Located on the peninsula, this town grew from a Roman palace, built by an emperor. Almost two millennials later, the palace has become the biggest city on this side of Adriatic coast; full of history that can be seen just by walking through the old town. This morning take a ferry to the lesser-known island of Lastovo. With only a handful of tourists visiting, it has kept its original charm and intact nature that is just waiting to be explored. Perhaps take a walk or embark on a hike to the lighthouse on the other side of the island, while meeting locals along the way.

Overfishing of the seas is becoming a major threat to the coastal life in many places around the world, and it is not different here. But what is different from many places is that local fishermen have accepted this problem and, together with numerous organizations, are working on tackling this issue. As part of the solution, you will today embark on a small boat with a local fisherman, who will explain life on the seas and the rich seafaring history of the island. During the day, you will have a chance at trying fishing on your own to catch a few fish so that you can have a taste of the local fish on the boat.

Take a morning ferry and travel to the nearby island of Korcula. Although your ferry will be docking in Vela Luka, you will be staying on the other side of the island, in the town of Korcula, and a transfer will take you there. On arriva, take some time to explore this ancient town that used to be part of the Venetian empire and later on was passed through Austro-Hungarian empire all the way down to today Croatia. Soak in all of the history around you and in the evening, enjoy some local food at a nearby restaurant.

Today you have option to further explore the island. Take a bike ride along the coast and perhaps visit nearby village of Lumbarda. Famous for the unique wine of Grk, which was brought by the Greek settlers many millennials ago or take a swim in Przine beach, one of the rare sand beaches in Croatian coast.

The ferry from Korcula will take you to the pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik. After leaving your luggage, make your way into the old town, where a local guide will await you. Together, stroll around the old town of Dubrovnik, learning about the long history of this town and many of its legends.
