The first Saturday night (arrival night) accommodation is at the Student house in Quito.
Dorm-style beds in volunteer cabins on the family ground of the organizer of the soccer project. You will not actually be living with the family, but will be on the same premises. The wooden cabins are basic, with a private bathroom in each cabin. There is a social area in a bigger cabin, where meals are also served. Accommodation is basic and it is your duty to keep your living area clean.
If you choose to participate in the Intro Week in Quito, you can choose either to stay in a dormitory at the volunteer house or in a Homestay.
The volunteer house has 3 double rooms and 1 triple each with it's own bathroom plus a 3 bedroomed apartment for long stay volunteers with 2 doubles and 1 single room. The house has a fully equipped kitchen for you to cook your meals. There is free Wi-Fi at the house, but no computers. Washing machines are available for a fee.
Staying with a host family is a great way to put your Spanish into practice in daily conversation and also to experience the every day life of a middle class Ecuadorian family. You will be provided with your own room, receive three meals a day on weekdays and one laundry load a week. We offer accommodation in 5 different families that all live no more than 15 minutes away from the school. Please note that the first two nights of your accommodation will be at the volunteer house. You will be introduced to your host family on Monday morning.
You can choose this project with or without an arrival transfer.
Arrival transfer from Quito airport to your accommodation in Quito is included with Intro Week, if you choose that option.
